I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves to be their best self. Sometimes though we don’t know what that looks like or how to get there. That’s where I come in! We are all unique, with varying experiences and needs. We change as we learn and grow, which in turn influences our thoughts, opinions and attitudes. I take this all into consideration and work with you to create a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment. Mental health is just a small part of overall well-being. In order to improve how you feel, we may focus on other areas of your life such as relationships, physical health, and spirituality.
I have experience working with people of all ages, from childhood to adulthood, who have faced a variety of challenges. I utilize various evidence-based modalities including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I started my career as a school counselor and after working in a program for adolescents with emotional disabilities, I discovered my passion for working with individuals in a therapeutic setting. In 2020, I became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
When I am not working, I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible and I care deeply about leaving the earth better than I found it. I love biking, hiking, kayaking, reading, and spending time with my husband and our dog, Bella.
